A wood-fired dining room in Silver Lake whose four-course menu changes every Tuesday, with whatever the farms bring in.
The brief
A chef-driven restaurant whose menu changes every week. The site has to make the room feel special before anyone books, and keep pace with a menu that never sits still.
The design
No plated-food hero and no “Welcome to”: the page runs on service time. It's lit only by the kitchen's fire, and the orange only shows while the fire is lit. “Tonight.” in a big serif, the week's four courses read like the kitchen's ledger, and a line along the bottom maps the evening: where it is now, the tables still open, the last seating.
What it's built to do
Fill tables on the nights that need it, take booking calls off the host stand, and show tonight's menu exactly as it is — not as it was last month.
